Hello, my name is Denise. I am so happy that you stopped by.

I started this website as a way to stay in touch with my students and let them know about my classes and special events. I also wanted this to be a place to share what I’ve learned in hopes of helping other yogis interested in the practice. These days, most of my time is spent in training sessions with my favourite teachers, self-education, and taking classes to keep up my own practice.

My yoga journey started 20 years ago, after developing knee injuries from long distance running. I enjoy many types of yoga, but I mainly practice Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga. I have over 500 hours of Hatha and over 100 hours of Yin yoga training. Over the past three years however, my focus and passion has been Yin yoga. I am fascinated by the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits I experience during a Yin yoga class.

What I find most interesting, is how Yin yoga has connected my other 2 passions; meditation and Buddhism. I find all 3 weave together perfectly, and as I continue my studies in meditation and Buddhism I am able to bring these learnings to my yoga practice and teaching.

I would say I am a Yogi, a Buddhist, and a strong advocate for Mindful Meditation. All three have taught me how to be compassionate and kind to myself and others, and how to practice self-introspection. Being more aware of the truth inside and out has brought a sense of peace and calmness to my life.
